Origin: Most AI memory systems accumulate information. Human memory does not — it strengthens, weakens, abstracts, and reconstructs. Exploring whether personal AI should practice a form of cognitive hygiene through memory pruning, contradiction detection, temporal awareness, and user-guided forgetting.
Open ?: When does a memory become stale? What deserves permanent retention? How should AI distinguish identity from temporary state? Can coherence be measured? Should forgetting be automatic, user-controlled, or collaborative?
